"Moto Festival" is
Enjoyable event to run on the Grand Prix course with mini bikes
"Moto Festival" is an event that started in 2021 with the motto "A festival for everyone to enjoy BIKE together."
It targets the mini bike category called 4-stroke mini bikes, and a major feature is the regulation that anyone aged 12 and over can participate.
In "Moto Mini 6 Hours," up to 6 Riders and up to 6 pit crew members can be registered, allowing families and friends to invite each other and enjoy the event as a united team.
Additionally, the event includes elements such as mini-games held during the run and fuel efficiency calculations based on refueling limits, making it not just a race that simply competes on speed. A unique feature of this event is that excessively fast lap times incur penalties.
Furthermore, to ensure that even race beginners can participate with peace of mind, a total of three practice sessions are held before the main event.
In the practice sessions, in addition to free running, programs are provided to safely enjoy circuit riding, such as "Safe Driving Lecture" by professional riders for beginners, "Beginner Riding Slots," and "Road Course Bus Tours."
The participating machines in "Moto Mini 6 Hours" must follow the rule of "vehicles with an engine displacement of 100cc or less, equipped with a 4-cycle engine at the time of manufacturer's shipment, and general-purpose road vehicles with a type certification in Japan, as well as sports-specific vehicles with the same body structure as general-purpose road vehicles and recognized by the secretariat as 100cc or less". Therefore, there are many entries for specially approved vehicles (YAMAHA/TTR90, Honda/XR100R, CRF100F, XR80, XR70, XR50, CRF50, Z50R, DREAM50R). Although modifications to the frame are strictly prohibited (except for the installation of some cowls), it is possible to change to a 100cc or less engine of the same type as the manufacturer's shipment with a bolt-on. Therefore, modifications such as installing a Honda APE100 engine on a Honda DREAM50R are officially allowed. In addition, regarding wheel size, there is a rule that "the rim size of the wheel must be 12 inches or more", but even if a vehicle with a size of 12 inches or less is installed at the time of sale, it is possible to participate by changing it to 12 inches or more. Therefore, many teams use Honda Monkey/Gorilla or old vehicles that comply with the above regulations. In addition, by setting restrictions such as unifying the carburetor diameter to φ22 and prohibiting the use of water-cooled engines and fuel injection, it can be said that "Moto Mini 6 Hours" participating vehicles maintain a certain equal condition, which is a major characteristic.
This is a race event held at the 4.8013 km Mobility Resort Motegi Racing Course using mini bikes with an engine displacement of 125cc or less.
Classes are broadly divided into six categories based on the type of vehicle used and the range of modifications allowed.
