HRC will conduct a public demonstration run of the new GT500 class prototype vehicle, developed based on the "PRELUDE," which is scheduled to participate in the 2026 SUPER GT series.

Currently ranked 4th, he aims for a higher position and will take on his last run at the Final Round in Motegi.

Since making his GT500 debut at the Suzuka 1000km in 2007, he has supported the Honda team for 19 seasons, driving machines across five generations and achieving numerous excellent results. He has announced his retirement from the GT500 class at the end of this season and aims for his first victory of the season together with his teammate Okusa.

Since 2006, he has been contracted with Nissan and NISMO, leading the team for 20 seasons. In the 2025 season, he achieved his 25th win at Rd.6 SUGO, demonstrating unchanged speed this season as well. He announced that this season will be his final one in SUPER GT activities and will face his last battle at Motegi as a culmination of his career.
