At Mobility Resort Motegi's Hello Woods, we not only maintain the forest, but also ensure the safety of visitors by clearing paths and removing fallen trees in advance.
As a result of continuous forest maintenance, approximately 5,800 species of living creatures, including rare species, have been confirmed within the Mobility Resort Motegi grounds. We also participate in the Ministry of the Environment's "Monitoring Site 1000-ri Survey" to investigate the changes in living creatures inhabiting the satoyama (mountain villages) and always strive for forest management that is conscious of biodiversity.
Received certification as a "Nature Coexistence Site" designated by the Ministry of the Environment in 2023.
Mobility Resort Motegi has been conducting environmentally friendly business activities with the theme of coexistence between people, nature, and mobility since its opening.
Organic waste from the dining establishments such as "Restaurant in the Woods MARCHERANT" and "Cafe Restaurant Oak" within Mobility Resort Motegi is used as raw material for compost at the organic waste recycling facility "Midori-kan" in Motegi Town.
Certified by Tochigi Prefecture in 2021. We conduct nature activities and social experience activities through programs aimed at observing the ecology of plants and animals, and promoting interest and awareness in environmental conservation in a well-managed satoyama.
The restaurant "MARCHERANT Marcherant" located inside Mobility Resort Motegi hotel incorporates locally grown seasonal vegetables and brand ingredients that Tochigi prefecture is proud of.
Mobility Resort Motegi strives to revitalize the local economy through collaboration with the community. By experiencing the unique charm and culture of the surrounding area, we aim to promote the revitalization of the region and preserve its culture.
We aim to create an environment where each individual can work with vitality and pride, respecting each other's diverse personalities based on Honda Group's fundamental principle of "Respect for the Individual".
The Trial World Championship, where trial bikes race through the nature-rich forest on May 18 (Sat) and 19 (Sun), will also hold the "Motegi Forest Sustainability Festival" as a new initiative to integrate people, nature, and mobility.
※"Trial World Championship" and "Motegi Forest Sustainability Festival" have ended.
Implement initiatives that contribute to achieving SDGs through events, aiming for sustainability.
We will select routes that minimize the impact on the habitat of plants and animals, and strive to restore the greenery to its original state after the competition. We use section tape made of 100% biodegradable resin to section off the competition area in some sections. In addition, we aim for carbon neutrality by having electric trial bikes participate.
The introduction of the women's class from an early stage and the genderless nature of the sport are also attractive features of the Trial World Championship. At the 2024 Japanese Grand Prix, 12 female riders will compete. The co-hosting of the TrialGP Women class at the Japanese Grand Prix was first held in 2018 and this year will be the fourth time.
We are working on digitizing admission tickets and will conduct gate checks for viewing by presenting digital tickets on smartphones or other devices when entering and exiting. *Event tickets for concurrent events are not applicable.
In some sections, we use thinned wood and install section number signs and the symbol of Hello Woods, the "wooden man", as obstacles. We also use thinned wood for some of the wooden stakes used in sections and travel routes, some of which are made from thinned wood harvested from the forest of Hello Woods.
A local community market where organic farmers, cafes, craft artists, and pottery artists from Tochigi Prefecture, including the local town of Motegi, come together. We plan to sell freshly harvested organic vegetables, chilled baked sweet potatoes, crafts made from leather and waste materials, and pottery products from the surrounding Satoyama of Mobility Resort Motegi.
