About Spectator Fashion

Enjoying a race is a special occasion. You may be wondering what to wear. We would like to introduce you to some key points to keep in mind for a comfortable race viewing experience. Please use them as a hint to decide your outfit on the day.

  1. Hat

During race viewing, it is important to protect your skin and hair from UV rays as you may be sitting in a sunny spot for a long time. Also, the circuit can sometimes have strong winds, so it is reassuring to wear something like a cap that can be securely worn or has a strap or hat clip.

  2. Long-sleeved and long pants

The mornings and evenings during the race season can be a bit chilly. It is important to take measures against the cold to spend three days in perfect condition. Also, since the area around the circuit is rich in greenery, it is recommended to wear long sleeves and pants for those who are concerned about insect bites. If you prefer short sleeves because it is hot during the day, it is a good idea to have a thin jacket or arm covers and a change of long sleeves prepared for peace of mind. If you wear shorts or skirts, it is recommended to wear tights or leggings underneath so that you can adjust depending on the temperature and viewing location. However, please note that skirts made of material that allows air to pass through or skirts that are extremely long may not be suitable depending on the steps and seating location inside the venue.

  3. Shoes

Mobility Resort Motegi is a huge circuit with an area equivalent to 15 Tokyo Domes. It is recommended to wear comfortable sneakers as you will be walking long distances to enjoy the 3-day event, which includes race viewing, gourmet food, and other activities. If there is a possibility of rain, it is recommended to spray your shoes with waterproof spray beforehand for a more comfortable experience. If you plan on staying in your car or camping, it is also recommended to bring sandals or flat shoes separately.

  4. Bag

There are surprisingly many things to carry during the game, such as drinks, souvenirs, and rain ponchos for protection. It is convenient to have something like a backpack or a rucksack that leaves your hands free.

In addition, preparing sunglasses, raincoats, ponchos, boots, towels (for sun protection on the neck), etc. depending on the weather on race day will make your viewing experience more comfortable.

Additionally, to enhance your race viewing experience, it is recommended to wear official MotoGP™ Japanese Grand Prix merchandise or merchandise from your favorite team while watching. For detailed merchandise information, click here

Useful Goods for Watching

Useful Goods for Watching

A little different from festival participation or camping accommodation... because it's race viewing!! Introducing useful items to have.

  1. Race Guide

During the race period, various events are held throughout the venue. To fully enjoy the event, we recommend checking out the "Race Program" and "this website". The Race Program not only includes information about MotoGP™ teams and riders, but also various race information. They will be available for purchase at various locations, so be sure to pick one up when you see it. Additionally, on the MotoGP™ event page of this website, you can plan your schedule for participating events, check out delicious food options, and find all the necessary information for the day! Signs will be posted throughout the venue to guide you to this website, so please use it when you're unsure of your plans for the day.

  2. FM Radio

On the day, you can listen to the race progress and the condition of the athletes through the in-venue broadcast (FM 80.9MHz). It will be more enjoyable to listen while watching the cars running in front of you.

  3. Folding Chairs & Cushions

Some viewing spots may not have chairs. It is convenient to have a foldable chair with a backrest and drink holder. Even if there are seats such as V seats, having a compact cushion to carry around will make long hours of viewing more comfortable.

  4. Rain Gear

In addition to ponchos, raincoats, and spare clothes, it is also reassuring to prepare a poly bag with a zipper for wet items, a quick-drying towel, and a large vinyl bag for bags when watching a race in the rain.

  5. Binoculars

You should be able to feel the race closer with driving in the far corners and mechanics in the pit!
