【#1 Bulldocker Tagos & Haruman】who ran 157 laps, won by a landslide!

2010 "Open Mote Tai" August 22 (Sun) Race Report 72 cars advanced to the final race of the "Open Mote Endurance". The endurance race in midsummer started at 10:00 as planned with a Le Mans-style start. Masaki Kanai from 【#21 SP3・Anfini・Madoka Design】 who started from pole position took the hole shot and led the opening lap, followed by Keita Higashi from 【#28 FineRacing & Yoshimi! Meeting】 , Naoyuki Sato from 【#53 Team-STR+GTMM】, Tatsuya Koiwa from 【#1 Bulldog Tago & Haruman】, Yoshihiro Kishimoto from 【#86 Takatsuki Garage Racing Team】, and Takashi Kaneko from 【#336 ARMADA with SSM】. In the back, Tetsu Ukawa from 【#11 RC30 & BLUE EYES】 who started from 22nd on the grid, quickly moved up to 9th place on the opening lap. It seemed only a matter of time before he caught up to the top, but on the 3rd lap, an engine trouble occurred. He stopped on the course and tried his best to repair it, but unfortunately ended up retiring.

In the early stages of the race, there was even more turmoil. The #53 Team-STR+GTMM took the lead, followed by the #21 SP3 Anfini Madoka Design and the #28 FineRacing & Yoshimi! Meeting. However, just 20 minutes into the race, the #21 SP3 Anfini Madoka Design crashed at the hairpin turn. The #28 FineRacing & Yoshimi! Meeting, which was right behind, also crashed trying to avoid it. This accident caused the pole position team and the team starting in 4th place to drop out of the top battle in the early stages. After that, many teams entered the pits before the first hour passed, causing the top teams to constantly change, including the #81 Team GTMM and the #59 Goku Kai Racing ☆ TORNADO!.

There were no teams that could break away from the top battle, and after 5 hours, there were as many as 7 teams on the same lap as the leader, #1 Bulldockatagos & Haruman. However, #1 Bulldockatagos & Haruman, who had superior speed, broke away from this point.

The battle for second place is intensifying behind. 【#67 Riding Sports & Fire】 is being chased by 【#68 RS-ITOH + Discontinued Alliance】 from behind. 【#67 Riding Sports & Fire】 shows a strong performance with an updated best lap time, but the lap time of 【#68 RS-ITOH + Discontinued Alliance】 is more than 2 seconds faster, and with 30 minutes remaining, the gap is less than 10 seconds. Then, with 15 minutes remaining, 【#68 RS-ITOH + Discontinued Alliance】 overtakes 【#67 Riding Sports & Fire】 and rises to second place. It seemed like they were going to take the lead and win.

The #1 Bulldocka Tagos & Haruman, who ran at the top, said that the fuel efficiency was tough, but covered 157 laps with 8 pit stops and won the checkered flag at the top, winning the 2010 "Open Mote Tai". "The reason for the victory was that we switched to Pirelli tires and steadily improved the bike we have been using since 2009. Also, this time we had a 6-team system, so having all the bike data was also a big factor. I was confident in the fuel efficiency, but I never thought I would run 157 laps. Actually, when I was running, I was on the edge (of fuel efficiency) (laughs). As a team, it was a good year with not only the victory, but also the Best Design Award, pole position and victory in the 3-hour endurance race," commented.

In second place, the dramatic comeback of #67 Riding Sports & Fire, who marked 155 laps, was due to the unfortunate gas shortage of #68 RS-ITOH + Zetuban Alliance on the final lap. #68 RS-ITOH + Zetuban Alliance finished in a disappointing third place with 154 laps.
