【#75 RF.AOYAMA Sake Powers】received MVP award!
【#86 Corolla Ibaraki-New Reon Kids-1】received Class II Most Laps Award with 136 laps!
Class I was won by 【#125 BLUE EYES K】with 129 laps for Most Laps Award!

The Motegi KART Endurance Festival "K-TAI" will be held on August 4th (Sun) this year, gathering many carters. The driver's briefing will be held on the home straight from 7:20 am, where participants can check the precautions while watching a large monitor. After that, the traditional group photo will be taken. This photo is planned to be used as the cover of next year's competition rule book.

After that, we will perform pre-start refueling, move to the grid, and once the opening ceremony is over, we will proceed with the start. This time, there are 8 Class I entries and 110 Class II entries, for a total of 118 entries. The 19th "K-TAI" will start on time and aim for the finish line 7 hours later with a rolling start from the formation lap.

【#25 racer racer r-kart】who won the pole position, took the hole shot and the teams lined up to second row including 【#310 C.S.I Racing】, 【#51 Tanabota OJISANS】, 【#54 tact Tsukuba Automobile University】, 【#89 TCG Racing Project】, and 【#17 KEIHIN MARIO RT】had a good start. On the opening lap, 【#310 C.S.I Racing】took the lead, followed by 【#70 racer racer ACCEL】starting from the 12th grid in the 4th row, and 【#25 racer racer r-kart】in third place, with a slight gap to 【#89 TCG Racing Project】and 【#6 Teacher & Salaryman】following behind.

Around 1 hour has passed, #9 ddd takes the lead but immediately pits in. #73 Corolla Ibaraki-Reon Kids-3 takes the lead, followed by #30 Corolla Ibaraki-Reon Kids-2, establishing a 1-2 position for Corolla Ibaraki-Reon Kids.

At the 2-hour mark, 【#38 TeamKRS-DAI&MKS】was leading with 40 laps, but by the 9th place, 【#32 ROSSO@GEN】, the laps were the same. At the 4-hour mark, 【#86 Corolla Ibaraki-Reon Kids-1】took the lead with 78 laps, and the same laps were narrowed down to the 4th place, 【#9 ddd】. However, due to pit stop timing, fuel consumption calculations, and various machine troubles, positions were constantly changing.

And just before the 6-hour mark, [#310 C.S.I Racing #1] was in the lead with 112 laps. [#311 C.S.I Racing #2] followed, making it a 1-2 for the team, but the top 8 cars were all on the same lap, creating a fierce battle. When [#310 C.S.I Racing #1] entered the pit, [#86 Corolla Ibaraki-Reon Kids-1] took the lead. [#311 C.S.I Racing #2], [#13 OBK motorsports], and [#43 BOOFOOSETSU] were all on the same lap, but still had pit work to do. At this point, [#86 Corolla Ibaraki-Reon Kids-1] quickly pulled away from the rest of the pack. While [#310 C.S.I Racing #1] was in second place at the time, they were struggling with fuel consumption and their lap times dropped significantly. This allowed their teammate, [#311 C.S.I Racing #2], to overtake them and move into second place. [#310 C.S.I Racing #1] was still trying to make it to the finish, but unfortunately had to stop with less than 10 minutes remaining. This allowed [#43 BOOFOOSETSU] to move into third place and [#13 OBK motorsports] into fourth place. It seemed like the checkered flag was in sight, but then [#43 BOOFOOSETSU] also had to stop due to running out of gas with less than 5 minutes remaining.

Top runner [#86 Corolla Ibaraki - Reon Kids - 1] driver Mitsuru Asano maintained a steady pace and completed 136 laps after 7 hours, securing the award for most laps completed.

"We are raising children through karting, but this time there were two other teams with various things going on. We used a new engine, but I wish we had fine-tuned the setup more. It's great to have won the award for the most laps completed on our own," said Representative Omiya.

The #311 C.S.I Racing #2 and #13 OBK motorsports teams were competing for the most laps completed award in the Class II category, with both teams completing 135 laps and receiving the award.

Class I saw an intense battle for the top spot from the beginning, with #27 PAROLIN Team Bear, #125 BLUE EYES K, and #206 r-kart B&S206 swapping positions during pit stops. #206 r-kart B&S206, aiming for a consecutive victory, faced engine troubles in the middle of the race and fell out of the top spot. In the end, #125 BLUE EYES K completed 129 laps and won the award for most laps, avenging their loss from last year and reclaiming the title of most laps won in 2017.

The #18 Team Humakiller/withPG showed a solid performance and rose to the top in the Excellent Lap Award, while the #27 PAROLIN Team Bear, who was penalized in the final stages, received the award with 127 laps.

MVP was awarded to the outstanding team, 【#75 RF.AOYAMA Sake Powers】, which has a good kart, good teamwork, and good team PR, and has been highly evaluated for its excellent overall team strength.

This year, the #86 Corolla Ibaraki-New Reon Kids-1, which won the most laps award, recorded 136 laps, 9 laps more than last year, due to the fact that the safety car did not enter at all. Thanks to the fast people who consider the slow people, from beginners to veterans, from children to adults, there were no major accidents and the 2019 "K-TAI" came to an end. In 2020, the "K-TAI" will celebrate its 20th anniversary. Let's enjoy the 7 hours with everyone's smiles again next year!
